This wicked looking Trans is owned by Ronald Van Der Velden from Holland. Ronald writes:

"My name is Ronald Van Der Velden from the Netherlands {Holland} and I send you a couple of photo's of my 1979 Trans-Am. I have this car since 1984 when the car was factory stock with the 403 engine. In 1986 I have a Pontiac 400 under the hood, and since 1990 a Chevy 454 with a small B&M blower. The rear panels are made wider for the big tires, and the car is now 79 inches wide on the back. Here in Europe this T/A is a real Porsche and fast BMW killer. You must see the faces from those drivers. In Europe you don't see many American cars with a blower thru the hood, so people always amazing when I'm on the road. The car gets a new paintjob at this time so I send new pictures later."

Ronald Van Der Velden

Ronald recently sent me these updated pics of his Trans Am wearing a new paint job. Ronald writes:

     "Hello Jimmy,

Last year I sent you some pics of my black '79 blown bird {see lot 5 international firebirds}. Here are the new pictures of my Trans Am after a new paintjob. The car is now black/purple, depending on the sunlight angle. Also on both front fenders a mean looking airbrush firebird is painted. Also new is a complete Be Cool polished radiator system including chrome fans. The car is inside and outside complete new!!! Tires 235/335-15 on centerline pro-stock wheels. Please add this to my pics list on lot 5 so other people can e-mail me if they wish."

Ian Highfield is the third owner of this classic 1968 Firebird. Ian writes:

     "Hi,

I live in England, and bought a 1968 350 Coupe in late 2000.  I have covered a faultless 1000 miles in the past year.  The car is in excellent condition both inside and out, and had a lot spent on it before I bought it. It was bought and registered in Canada, and had a father and son owner from 1970 to 1999, when the person that I bought it from imported it to England.

Work done in the past couple of years include a complete repaint, radiator recore, new rear springs and shocks, refurbished brakes with new master cylinder, bottom end engine rebuild, new carpet and lots of other little things. The car is a 350 2bbl with two speed automatic, console, shoulder belts, twin exhausts, rally II wheels and I have the PHS history for it. Improvements this winter (2001) will include rally gauges and new gas tank sender, window weather-stripping and other small items. The attached pictures were taken in Canada and England during the past couple of years.  I hope that you can use some of them."

Ian Highfield

My name is Peter W. Munch, and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark, Europe. Here are some pic's of my car. It is a 1970½  Trans Am with a 400 cui. RAM-AIR III, 4 spd M20 and a functional scoop. Its 1 of 1,769 4-speed RAM-AIR III built in 1970. I have only owned the car for about 6 months, and I am very proud of it. As I know, it is the only 70½ TA in Denmark. It is a GREAT page, maybe the best Firebird page on the net."

     Hello

"My name is Marcin Fedyna and I`m a 20 year old student from Poland ( Europe). I own an `89 Pontiac Firebird Formula 305. Me and my dad are sort of American musclecar lovers. Haha probably `cause we live in Europe surrounded by all those tiny engined cars.

About my car... It`s a Firebird Formula in red with grey interior, has 305 TBI (Throttle Body Injection) L03 engine. WS6 option, power windows, locks, antenna. Has Hi Tech Turbo Formula 16" rims. Front Tires are 225 wide and rear are 245. Rear axle ratio is 2.73. The car is equipped with t-tops. She`s in immaculate condition, having only 45,000 miles on the odometer. We call her " Sophie " haha. She`s a real bad ass out here in my town, kickin` asses of all those BMW`s.

In the near future we plan to install a nitrous oxide system and upgrade some internal engine components.
A new high performance exhaust is on the way...

Well I hope you will consider my letter. You have a very nice webpage, definitely one of my favorites."

Best regards
Marcin Fedyna

     "Hello...

I have looked alot on you homepage "The PremierFirebird Trans Am Gallery" over the last 2 years, and I think it is a great job you are doing keeping it up and running. Now I think it is about time that I give my contribution to the homepage, so here you have some information and pictures of my '79 Trans Am.

Here you see the thing most dear to me, after my girlfriend, my '79 Pontiac Trans Am. I bought it at a age 20 in 1999 and it is my first car that I have owned by myself. Its got a rebuild Olds 403 cui engine under the hood and a TH350 3-Speed Automatic Transmission. 255/60/15 BFGoodrich tires on beautiful Snowflake wheels. Due to the fact that I live in Denmark, the previous owner has removed the Cruise Control and the A/C, because it is too expensive to have. Though, I would like to have it back into the car again, just to make it perfect, a project that will come when the money is available."

Morten "Simbul" Espensen

Morten also owns a 1981 Trans Am that is currently undergoing a restoration that can be seen at Project Lot#2.

Ansgar Jonzeck doesn't drive your average German car. In a country where Mercedes' are used for taxis and BMWs are cheap its pretty awesome someone chooses to drive an American made Pontiac Trans Am. Ansgar writes:

"Hi. We are from Neu-Eichenberg Germany and would like to introduce you to our Firebird.

Our Trans Am is a 1979 model with a 403 cui Oldsmobile engine, 3 gear automatic transmission, traction bars, high jacks, side pipes and Chrome wheels with 295 / 15 rear and 235 / 15 front. I bought it in 1995 and for almost seven years now, it rests in my garage and waits for the summer to be moved again. The last modification was a new paint in 1997 (black perl effect)."

Best regards from Germany
